Formula One Season 2026

Huge weekend ahead in Australia for Formula 1‘s opening race of the season! And it honestly couldn’t get any more exciting.

I’ve been a lifelong Formula 1 Fan. I didn’t quite get to see the Senna days of racing, but I have watched the races back from that era several hundred times. I’ve visited most F1 factories around the country (McLaren Racing if you’re reading, I’ve still not had that invite) and have touched down in some major locations across the world to watch races, Marina Bay, Singapore, Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi and of course, the mighty Silverstone Circuit, to name a few.

The 2026 is going to be something else. A new era of racing! And there are 5 great reasons you should watch this season.

1. New Cars, New Teams and an all-new F1 Squad! – Cadillac Join The Roster, Adrian Newey now team principal at Aston Martin Racing and a Whole New standard and set of rules for card design. an Interesting Video Right here on the new designs and Regulations – https://www.formula1.com/en/page/2026-f1-regulations

2. The Travel, The Glamour – A Global Championship. Formula One is the ultimate travelling circus. From the glamour of Las Vegas to the historic atmosphere of Silverstone, the calendar spans some of the most incredible destinations in sport. Each track brings its own challenge, culture and spectacle.

3. British Talent – The UK is once again incredibly well represented with three world-class drivers: Newly Crowned F1 World Champion Lando Norris, George Russell, and 7 (8 Times) Time World Champion Lewis Hamilton. Each brings a different style and story. Ferrari looked mighty strong in pre-season testing, and we’re hoping to have another crown under a Brit this season!

4. Global Brand Involvement – Formula One has become one of the most powerful global marketing platforms in the world. Partnerships with brands like Disney, Netflix and Gordon Ramsey F1 Restaurants have helped bring F1 to entirely new audiences, while major companies across technology, finance, luxury and automotive are investing heavily in teams and the championship itself. It is MEGA for anyone around the world watching!

5. Weekend Drama and the fight for perfection at the minuscule detail – In F1, the margins are microscopic. Strategy, tyre choices, pit stops, weather, and bold overtakes can turn a race upside down in seconds. Across a 24-race calendar, the storyline evolves week by week. If you haven’t watched it yet, Netflix just launched the new season of Drive to Survive. Catch up before the race begins this weekend!

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just starting to discover the sport, Formula 1 is one of the few sports where technology, talent, strategy and global spectacle collide.

24 races. Multiple continents. Milliseconds deciding everything.

The season begins in Melbourne this weekend — and if the last few years have shown us anything, it’s that anything can happen once the lights go out.

Let’s go racing. 🏁
