This is a public post for all of those tracking my 500-mile run for The Children’s Foundation. All runs, data and notes will be added each time I take on a new run. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have donated and supported me so far and I look forward to achieving my goal of 500 miles before I sit down for Christmas Dinner in December. My Comments: Another run complete at David Lloyd Teesside. Ergh! what a week, fell off the wagon already, not good at all. I’ve gone nearly a full week without running. May reasons, Work schedule, 6 weeks holidays and a slight niggle on my ankle but no excuses. I managed a 10k this AM early before heading out for Helen’s birthday meal at the Spotted Cow!

My Comments: Another run complete at David Lloyd Teesside. Start of the week after a long weekend of working catchup. Had to really force myself to go after work today to get this in. I need to make sure I get myself out running as we come into a very busy period at the office and managing the 6 weeks school holidays. A reminder to keep at it and organise properly.

My Comments: Another run complete at David Lloyd Teesside. A run before I go away on holiday for the first week of the kids 6 weeks holiday. I’ll be taking my running trainers away with me but who knows if I’ll get runs in! This was a nice, steady run to get the miles in.

My Comments: Another run complete at David Lloyd Teesside. After a fantastic day at the Middlesbrough Front End event I decided to make my way over for another run. This run was directly after my 10k+ yesterday which I found quite difficult. I started to get shin splints at around 1 mile and really had to push through this to get it done. More later in the week!

My Comments: Another run complete at David Lloyd Teesside. I Did not want to run at all today! I just wasn’t feeling it at all but I had to get my running boots on and get moving. A very hot, tough run but I got there in the end. I had to split this one in to two separate runs as my 1 hour 5 minutes didn’t cut the mustard! I need to stop eating crisps at dinner time! 🤮

My Comments: Another run complete at David Lloyd Teesside. Evening run after a busy day at Premier Prints HQ shipping a bunch of orders. I think I could probably take the next step up now to 12k-15k in the next few runs. This crosses the 50 miles for the month, looking forward to the next 50.

My Comments: This AM I found out that my mother had passed away from a long illness. After a long day of sadness I actually wanted to go for a hard run, this one turned out to be a bit more than what was required so it put’s me ahead of schedule a little ready for our holiday in a few weeks. My Comments: Another run complete at David Lloyd Teesside after missing my run on Saturday in York. I knew I had to get back to it, what better way than to do on a Sunday afternoon 10k whilst watching the Silverstone GP. Super proud of Helen who also put in a tonne of miles with me as well, she ran for the full hour and managed to clock up 6km+, well done!! 👏👏 Looking forward to the next one!

My Comments: Not sure what is going on with these street runs but them seem super difficult! A short but very hard run, unsure why it seems so hard but I must admit it was pretty warm out this afternoon. Heading to York tomorrow so I’ll post a run from there at some point over the weekend.

My Comments: Another run complete at David Lloyd Teesside, legs are feeling a lot better with some consistency in place, I ran through this 4.20 miles quiet easily this afternoon so I feel like I need to turn things up a little, possibly start hitting the 5 and 6 miles a day to bank some days off. My Comments: Yesterday I rested up and made sure I got my legs back into some form of useable shape. This run was a treadmill run at David Lloyd Teesside, my legs felt absolutely fine on this one, I just had a few moments of stretching I needed to do during the run. More tomorrow.

My Comments: Really struggled after yesterday’s run. Massive cramp in my right leg, will try and get past it tomorrow! I 100% feel the benefits of running even 2 runs in. My Comments: I officially no longer have 500 miles to run. We are down to 495.2, all progress, very difficult run as I’ve not street run for a while but I got there after stopping several times. More tomorrow!
